The platforms have been closed for safety reasons at Huntingdon station, meaning some lines towards Stevenage are currently blocked. As a result, trains running between these stations may be delayed or will run non-stop.

Customer Advice:
Southbound Thameslink and Great Northern trains cannot call at Huntingdon. This will affect trains towards London.
There may also be some delays to trains through this station, as they may need to run at slower speeds than normal.
Trains will still be able to use an alternative southbound line to travel through the station, but as there is no platform on this line, they will not be able to stop in this direction.
Northbound trains can serve the station as normal.
If you are travelling from Huntingdon towards St Neots, Stevenage and London, you can travel to Peterborough first and change there.
If you are travelling from Peterborough towards Huntingdon, you can travel to St Neots and change there.
Great Northern and Thameslink are also working to see if other alternative options can be put in place.

A freight train has caused damage to Platform 2 at Huntingdon, so this station cannot be served by southbound trains. Great Northern and Thameslink are working with our station management teams and Network Rail to deal with the issue, but major repairs will be needed.
