A fault with the signalling system at Finsbury Park is causing disruption to some northbound lines. As a result, trains running through this station may be delayed.
This is expected until 09:00.
Thameslink and Great Northern services heading northbound through Finsbury Park may be delayed by around 5-10 minutes.Â
This mainly affects trains from London Kings Cross or London St Pancras International, heading towards Peterborough, Cambridge, Ely or Kings Lynn.Â
Some other trains may also be delayed by congestion at times.Â
You can still use your normal route, but please leave some extra time for your journey.Â
A live map of the network in this area can be found here.
Can you tell me more about the incident?
Network Rail are dealing with a track circuit failure at Holloway South Junction, which is just south of Finsbury Park station. Track circuits are electrical devices which detect and monitor the passage of trains, as part of the signalling system.
In this case, to reduce delays, trains will use another line to get around the issue, but this will still lead to a small amount of congestion.Â
Response staff have been sent to site, and we are monitoring progress updates.
