Disruption caused by an earlier points failure at Blackburn has now ended.

A tree is blocking the railway between Walsall and Rugeley Trent Valley, all lines are closed. As a result of this, trains running between these stations will be cancelled.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Customer advice:
Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on Rail Replacement transport (supplied via Stagecoach) between Walsall and Rugby Trent Valley Junction in both directions until further notice.
Your ticket is valid for journeys between Birmingham New Street and Lichfield Trent Valley. If you're travelling to or from Duddeston and Aston, you can also use the Cross City line towards Birmingham.

- Poor weather to affect various Transport for Wales services today
Following yellow and amber weather warnings associated with Storm Claudia, it is expected that the poor weather will continue to cause disruption to services running across the Transport for Wales network today.
Please check your entire journey in full before you travel. You can also view a live map of the Transport for Wales network.
If you are unable to complete your journey today, you'll be able to use tickets dated today for travel up until Monday 17 November at no extra cost.
Current weather related disruptions:
NorthLlanrwst and Blaenau Ffestiniog
Flooding caused by severe weather means no trains will be able to run between North Llanrwst and Blaenau Ffestiniog today, or tomorrow, Sunday 16 November.
To help you complete your journey, buses are running between Llandudno Junction and Blaenau Festiniog. These will be provided by Carmel Travel.
Road transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.
Shrewsbury and Newport (South Wales)
Services between Shrewsbury and Cardiff are disrupted. Until the water levels recede no trains will be able to run through the area.
Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on any CrossCountry train between Birmingham and Bristol and also between Bristol and Cardiff with Great Western Railway.
Transport for Wales strongly advise customers to not attempt to travel between Shrewsbury and Newport.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Llandrindod and Shrewsbury
Heavy rainfall flooding the railway between Llandrindod and Shrewsbury, means that the line is blocked. As a result, trains can not run between these stations.
Please note there is no road transport available from Shrewsbury to Llandrindod.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport

- Poor weather to affect various Great Western Railway services: disruption expected until at least 12:00 on Sunday 16 November
Following yellow and amber weather warnings associated with Storm Claudia, it is expected that the poor weather will continue to cause disruption to services running across the Great Western Railway network today.
With some lines still closed for flooding it is estimated that some routes may continue to be disrupted until at least 12:00 on Sunday 16 November.
Trains are also affected by flooding between Exeter St Davids and Barnstaple resulting in road transport replacing trains.
Tickets dated for travel yesterday will be accepted today, Saturday 15 November.
Disruption is affecting the following routes:
Between Swindon and Bristol Parkway
There is flooding between Swindon and Bristol Parkway. Flood water has risen above a certain level meaning trains are unable to run through the affected area. Network Rail are monitoring the water levels. Until the water recedes and the line is inspected trains are unable to run between between Swindon and Bristol Parkway.
Disruption is expected until 12:00 tomorrow, Sunday 16 November.
Great Western Railway will run an amended timetable with trains from Swansea running to Bristol Parkway / Bristol Temple Meads.
At Bristol Temple Meads customers can change for onward trains to Reading and London Paddington.
Customers from London Paddington / Reading / Swindon for Wales, should travel to Bristol Temple Meads and change there for services to Cardiff Central and Swansea.
Liskeard and Looe
Heavy rain flooding the railway between Liskeard and Looe means all lines are blocked. Trains running between these stations will be cancelled.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Taxis are running between Liskeard and Looe, operated by Taxi Services Plymouth and Yeos Taxis.
Your ticket can be used, at no extra cost, in both directions on the following local bus routes. Just show your rail ticket to the driver.
- Go Cornwall route 73 - Liskeard to Looe
Rail replacement transport has been requested between Liskeard and Looe, in both directions, via Sandplace and this is now in place (Operated by Plymouth and Yeos Taxis).
During this disruption if you wish to use local buses as an alternative means of transport and the local bus is not accepting Great Western Railway tickets, please purchase a ticket on the bus, keep it and send it, together with your train ticket, to Great Western Railway to claim for a refund.
Network Rail are monitoring the water levels; they have checked the line and the water is still above the closure mark, and this is at low tide, therefore it is unlikely that the line will reopen today.

- No trains between Stockport and Macclesfield: disruption expected until 18:30
All lines are blocked between Stockport and Macclesfield because there is damage to the overhead electric wires between these stations. As a result of this, trains are unable to run between these stations and will be cancelled or revised.
Disruption is expected until 18:30.
CrossCountry customer advice:
Where possible, trains will be diverted via Crewe, not calling at Macclesfield or Stoke-on-Trent.
Replacement road transport is running between Stockport and Stoke On Trent via Macclesfield. You may use these services at no additional cost. Any confirmed coaches will be shown in online journey planners.
All road transport will be fully accessible. If you are a disabled customer requiring further assistance for your disrupted journey, please speak to railway station staff or use the customer help points if the station is unstaffed.
You may use your tickets at no extra cost on the following:
- Avanti West Coast between Manchester Piccadilly and Stoke-on-Trent
- London Northwestern Railway between Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford
You do not need to amend your ticket to use it on these services.
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost
Northern customer advice:
Trains are unable to run between Stockport and Stoke-on-Trent.
Rail replacement transport has been arranged to run as follows:
- Departing at 17:00 Stockport to Stoke-on-Trentcalling at Cheadle Hulme, Bramhall, Poynton, Adlington, Prestbury, Macclesfield, Congleton, Kidsgrove and Stoke-on-Trent (operated by RSZ and Atlantic Travel)
Please check station information posters for the location of the bus pick up points and be advised that bicycles, e-bikes and dogs (except for service dogs) are not permitted on replacement road transport.
Journey times may be extended by up to 60 whilst travelling by road transport.
Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

- Disruption between Stockport and Wilmslow expected until 19:00
A tree blocking the railway at Cheadle Hulme, means that trains are having to run at reduced speed on some lines. As a result, trains running between Stockport and Wilmslow may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or cancelled.
Disruption is expected until 19:00.
Avanti West Coast customer advice:
If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

- Major disruption between High Wycombe and London Marylebone expected until 19:45
The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Gerrards Cross and West Ruislip. Whilst they carry out their work, all lines between these stations are closed. Trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

- No trains between Barking Riverside and Gospel Oak until approximately 18:30
A late running freight train at Gospel Oak, means that the line is blocked. As a result, trains can not run between barking Riverside and Gospel Oak. Trains running between these stations will be cancelled.

- Buses replace trains between Castle Cary and Taunton from Monday 8 to Sunday 14 December
Engineering work is taking place between Castle Cary and Taunton, closing all lines.
Buses will replace trains between Castle Cary and Taunton.
Trains between London Paddington and Plymouth / Penzance will divert between Reading and Taunton (via Bristol Temple Meads, where they will call additionally).
Trains will depart London Paddington and Reading earlier than normal. Mostly normal timings departing Taunton and beyond.
Stopping trains between London Paddington and Exeter St Davids / Paignton will not run, however there will be a limited service of trains between London Paddington, Reading, Newbury, Hungerford, Pewsey, Westbury (and Castle Cary) .
Some trains between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads (and beyond) will extend to / from Plymouth / Penzance.

- Buses replace trains between Corkickle and Whitehaven until further notice
During pre-planned engineering work at Bransty Tunnel, between Corkickle and Whitehaven, inspections revealed unstable ground conditions which require urgent repair. As a result, the line through the tunnel is closed. Buses are replacing trains between Corkickle and Whitehaven with disruption expected until further notice.

Service impact
Train services are running between Lancaster / Barrow-in-Furness and Corkickle, and also between Whitehaven and Carlisle.
Buses will replace trains between Corkickle and Whitehaven.
Please speak to station staff, see online journey planners or consult customer information screens for departure times of these buses. Journey times may be extended by up to 60 minutes whilst travelling by road transport.
Ticket acceptance
If the train you have a ticket for is cancelled, you can travel on any Northern or TransPennine Express service within two hours before or after your cancelled service was due to depart. This is at no extra cost, and does not require you to amend your ticket.
Additional information:
At the end of July, Network Rail carried out assessments and surveys inside Bransty Tunnel ahead of planned full track and drainage renewal that was scheduled to take place during August and September. This involved doing surveys to assess any weight limits for the heavy machinery needed for the planned renewals. These surveys uncovered some areas under the railway which need strengthening before any work can progress. After assessing the initial survey data by specialist expert engineers, Network Rail has closed Bransty Tunnel to all trains until further notice. The exact time frame for how long these repairs and subsequent track improvements will take is still being worked on.

- Amended 23:45 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington service on Saturday 13 December
Engineering work is taking place between Twyford and Hayes & Harlington, and also between Ealing Broadway and London Paddington, closing various lines on Saturday night.
As a result, the 23:45 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington service:
- Will not call at Burnham or Taplow. Replacement buses will run between Slough and Burnham / Taplow
- The train will terminate at Ealing Broadway instead of London Paddington. You can use London Underground services at no extra cost between Ealing Broadway and central London

- Amended early morning trains between Reading and Bedwyn in Saturday 13 December
Engineering work is taking place between Reading West and Bedwyn, closing all lines early on Saturday morning.
As a result:
- The 05:08 Reading to Bedwyn will not run and will be replaced by earlier road transport at 05:05 from Reading to Newbury, calling at all stations. Connects at Newbury into the train below
- The 05:39 Reading to Bedwyn will depart at 05:55, calling at Reading West, then running direct to Newbury, (not calling at Theale, Aldermaston, Midgham, Thatcham or Newbury Racecourse), before continuing to Kintbury, Hungerford and Bedwyn
- The 06:08 Bedwyn to Reading will start from Newbury at 06:26. Earlier road transport will run at 05:30 from Bedwyn, Hungerford and Kintbury to Newbury to connect with the train
- The 06:34 Reading to Newbury will arrive at Newbury 06:58
- The 06:35 Bedwyn to Newbury will depart at 06:38
- The 06:58 Newbury to London Paddington will depart at 07:00
- The 07:00 Newbury to Bedwyn will depart at 07:03

Engineering work is taking place between Didcot Parkway and Tackley, closing all lines on Saturday evening.
As a result:
- The 22:04 Banbury to Didcot Parkway will terminate at Oxford. Road transport will run at 22:45 from Oxford to Didcot Parkway calling all stations
- The 22:45 Didcot Parkway to Oxford will not run, and will be replaced by road transport from Didcot Parkway to Oxford, calling all stations
- The 22:50 London Paddington to Oxford will terminate at Didcot Parkway. Road transport will run from Didcot Parkway to Oxford, taking 30 minutes
- The 23:00 Oxford to London Paddington will start Didcot Parkway at 23:52. Road transport will run at 23:05 from Oxford to Didcot Parkway to connect with the train
- The 23:20 Didcot Parkway to Oxford will not run. You should instead travel by earlier or later services to complete your journey
- The 23:33 London Paddington to Oxford will terminate at Didcot Parkway. Road transport will run from Didcot Parkway to Oxford, taking 30 minutes

Due to engineering work taking place on Sunday, the follow Saturday trains will be amended:
- The 17:18 London Kings Cross to Hull service will terminate at Doncaster.
- The 18:33 London Kings Cross to Harrogate will terminate at Leeds.

Engineering work is taking place between Stevenage and Royston until 08:10, closing some lines.
Buses will replace trains between Finsbury Park / Alexandra Palace / Stevenage and Royston / Cambridge.
Additionally, until approximately 08:10 on Sunday morning, northbound trains will be unable to call at Hitchin or Arlesey. Rail replacement buses will run between Stevenage and Biggleswade to serve these stations.

Engineering work is taking place between Derby and Chesterfield, closing some lines.
CrossCountry:
Saturday and Sunday:
Journey times between Derby and the North East and Scotland will be extended by up to one hour.
East Midlands Railway:
It is not yet known how East Midlands Railway are affected by these works.
Northern:
Saturday only:
Trains will run to an amended timetable between Nottingham and Sheffield. Journey times between Sheffield and Leeds are unaltered.
