Sheffield United vs Sunderland at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 24th May
Due to the Championship Play-Off Final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 24th May, all services between Sunderland and London King's Cross will be significantly busier than usual. Please see particularly busy travel times below:
- Southbound trains to London King's Cross on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.
- Northbound trains from London King’s Cross on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
We are also expecting services between Doncaster and London King's Cross to be busier than usual. Please see particularly busy travel times below:
- Southbound trains from Doncaster to London King's Cross on Saturday morning.
- Northbound trains from London King’s Cross to Doncaster on Saturday evening.
If you’re traveling with an open ticket this weekend and don’t have a seat reservation, do not travel on our North East route or between Doncaster and London. Demand is extremely high, and those without a reservation may not be able to board. Check for the latest updates before you travel and allow extra time to reach the station.
