What has happened?

There was a broken rail near Ancaster. This is between Sleaford and Grantham and is disrupting trains on the Skegness / Nottingham route.

Network Rail have carried out a full safety inspection and have advised the line is now safe to reopen. Trains will run at a reduced speed through the Ancaster area.

How does this affect my train?

Trains running through the area in both direction can now run between Sleaford and Grantham.

The priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. We expect an advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 17:00.

How do I get where I need to be?

You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by 60 minutes.

Check before you travel:

You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.

Compensation:
