The Met Office have issued amber and yellow weather warnings across Great Britain until Sunday 8 December.
From Friday evening, Storm Darragh is expected to bring heavy rain and wind and will continue into the weekend. Please check your journey in full before travelling. Current weather disruptions:
Mytholmroyd and Hebden Bridge
A tree blocking the railway between Mytholmroyd and Hebden Bridge means all lines are blocked. Train services running through these stations will be cancelled or delayed.
You can use your ticket on Transpennine Express Services services between Leeds and Manchester.
Any ticket restrictions have been lifted during this disruption.
Road replacement transport will run between Halifax to Hebden Bridge provided by J&B and Phantom Travel. Journey times may be extended by up to 60 minutes whilst travelling by rail replacement transport.
Liverpool Lime Street and Wigan North Western
Lines have now reopened following heavy rain flooding the railway between Liverpool Lime Street and Wigan North Western.
Blackburn and Bolton
Flooding between Blackburn and Bolton means all lines are blocked. Trains running between these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.
You can use alternate Northern services between Manchester and Blackburn via Todmorden.
Any ticket restrictions have been lifted during this disruption.
Road replacement transport will run at 18:10 from Blackburn calling at all stations to Bolton provided by S-Line. Journey times may be extended by up to 50 minutes whilst travelling by Rail Replacement transport.
Southport and Wigan Wallgate
Flooding between Southport and Wigan Wallgate means all lines are blocked. Trains running between these stations may be cancelled or revised.
Road replacement transport will run as follows:
- 18:30 Wigan Wallgate to Southport provided by Bestway
- 18:45 Southport to Wigan Wallgate provided by Bestway
Journey times may be extended by up to 60 minutes whilst travelling by Rail Replacement transport.
Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly
Heavy rain flooding the railway between Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly means trains may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or cancelled.
