The Met Office have issued red, amber and yellow weather warnings for high winds today and tomorrow, Saturday 27 November. As a result of this, speed restrictions and line closures may be in place until the end of the day on Sunday 28 November.
Trains are currently affected on the below routes:
Between Edinburgh and North Berwick / Dunbar:
Trains between Edinburgh and North Berwick / Dunbar will be cancelled until the end of the day.
Buses have been requested to run between Edinburgh and North Berwick. You can use your ticket on Lothian buses between Edinburgh and Prestonpans.
Between Inverness and Aberdeen / Wick:
Trains between Inverness and Aberdeen / Wick may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised until the end of the day.
Trains from Inverness to Wick will not call at Thurso. A minibus will run from Georgemas Junction to Thurso and onto Wick if required. The bus will depart Georgemas Junction at 14:10, 17:36 and 22:06.
You may also use your ticket on Stagecoach North buses between Inverness and Wick.
Between Edinburgh and Arbroath:
Trains between Edinburgh and Arbroath are running between Edinburgh and Dundee only until the end of the day. You may use your ticket on Stagecoach East buses between Dundee and Arbroath.
