A shortage of train crew across the Thameslink and Great Northern network means services may be disrupted and will be cancelled or revised.
This is expected until the end of the day.
Customer Advice
Due to the availability of train crew, a reduced service will run on the following Thameslink and Great Northern routes this evening:Â
- Horsham and Peterborough, via Gatwick Airport, London and Stevenage.
- London and Peterborough via Stevenage.
- Brighton and Bedford via Gatwick Airport, London and Luton.
- London and Cambridge.
Some of the last services of the night have been cancelled, as well as overnight services. Replacement buses have been requested, and where they have been confirmed they will be advertised on online journey planners and departure boards. Please note that these will still be limited, are expected to be very busy, and will take much longer in comparison to taking a train.
We would strongly advise that you start your journey as soon as possible. If you travel later, then your journey will likely take much longer than normal and you may need to use an alternative route or a replacement bus to complete your journey.
Please check online journey planners and departure boards before you travel, and allow plenty of extra time to complete your journey this evening.
Can you tell me more about the incident?
Unfortunately, despite exploring all the options, we're unable to resource enough crew for all the trains in our timetable, but we're doing everything to provide alternative solutions so you can get to your destination. Most trains will still run, and we'd like to thank you for your patience where they don't.
