Due to the risk of overcrowding as a result of a major event nearby, Wembley Central station will be closed from 15:00 until the end of the day.
Southern Customer Advice
From 15.00 until the end of service, trains will not be stopping at Wembley Central station, including Southern services.
This is to remove the risk of severe overcrowding caused by a nearby major event.
We will be unable to offer ticket acceptance on alternative transport operators. This is due to the pressure on their services in the local area. Therefore, if possible, please travel before this time or check local advice using the TfL journey planner.Â
Can you tell me more about this?
Wembley Central station can't accommodate the usual number of passengers, as the local London Overground and Bakerloo Line services have been suspended for planned engineering works. Other trains, including Southern services, would be overwhelmed by the potential number of people wishing to use them. As a result, it is not safe to call at this station after 15.00.
