Engineering work is taking place between Wigan North Western and Lockerbie, closing all lines. 

Avanti West Coast

Trains between London Euston and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh via Birmingham New Street will run between London Euston and Wigan North Western only.

Trains between London Euston and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh via Nuneaton will run between London Euston and Wigan North Western only.

Replacement buses will run between:

• Carlisle and Glasgow Central.

Customers may use TransPennine Express bus services between Carlisle and Edinburgh, and TransPennine train services between Preston and Carlisle. Customers to / from Haymarket should travel via Edinburgh, as buses will not call at Haymarket.

Customers may also use Northern replacement buses between Wigan North Western and Preston.

TransPennine Express

No TransPennine Express services will run between Manchester stations and Preston. Replacement buses will run between Manchester Airport and Preston (no stops).

Customers to / from Manchester can use Northern replacement buses between Buckshaw Parkway and Preston, connecting with Northern train services to / from Manchester.

No TransPennine Express services will run between Liverpool Lime Street, Wigan North Western and Preston, with no replacement transport between these stations.

A shuttle train service will run between Preston and Carlisle on Saturday and Monday. No shuttle trains will run on Sunday.

Replacement buses will run between Carlisle and Edinburgh (not calling at Haymarket). Customers to / from Glasgow Central can use Avanti West Coast buses to complete their journey.
