The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Redcar Central and Saltburn which means all lines are currently closed whilst they attend to the scene. As a result, trains are unable to run between these stations.

Services between Bishop Auckland / Manchester Victoria and Saltburn will terminate / start at Redcar Central or Middlesbrough.

Disruption is expected until approximately 14:15.

Customer Advice

Northern

A 16 seater minibus will run between Redcar Central and Saltburn in both directions, calling at Redcar East, Longbeck, Marske and Saltburn.

This will be operated by ETravel.

Journey times will be extended by 40 minutes when using this service.

TransPennine Express

Road replacement transport will run as required between Middlesbrough / Redcar Central Saltburn. Please speak with station staff or the use the Help Point for this to be arranged.

Customers can use their ticket on Northern services between Darlington and Redcar Central at no extra cost.

Customers travelling towards Manchester Victoria can then change at Darlington for alternate TransPennine Express services to York and Manchester Victoria.
