A road vehicle blocking the railway between Nottingham and Grantham means trains are currently unable to run between these stations.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

What has happened?

There is a road vehicle blocking the line on a level crossing near Elton & Orston. This is between Nottingham and Grantham and is disrupting trains on the Nottingham / Grantham / Skegness route and the Liverpool Lime Street / Nottingham / Norwich route.

The British Transport Police are on site assessing the situation.

How does this affect my train?

At present trains can not run in both directions between Nottingham and Grantham.

How do I get where I need to be?

East Midlands Railway are in the process of booking taxi's to run between Nottingham and Grantham. At Grantham journeys can be continued by rail.

Staff have sourced a bus to run from Nottingham to Skegness at 20:30 this evening. They will continue to try and arrange alternative transport throughout the incident to keep you on the move.
