There is a points failure between between Liverpool Lime Street and Wigan North Western via St Helens Central, closing all lines between these stations.

This means that trains are currently unable to run, and will be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes, diverted or revised.

This issue is expected to continue to impact services until 10:00.

You may use your ticket on any alternative Northern, TransPennine Express or Merseyrail service via any reasonable route at no extra cost.

Customers can travel to / from Liverpool Central - Southport for connections to Wigan.
