Engineering work is taking place between London Cannon Street / London Charing Cross and Greenwich /Â New Cross, closing various lines.
There will be no Southeastern services from London Charing Cross, London Waterloo East, London Cannon Street or London Bridge all weekend, and many routes will have fewer trains than normal. Most lines will run from London Victoria instead, but some Metro routes will start / terminate at New Cross and you will need to change trains at Lewisham on these lines to continue your journey to Central London.Â
Below is a summary of the exact details for each line:
- Woolwich Line: A half hourly service will run between New Cross & Dartford via Woolwich.
- Bexleyheath Line: On Saturday, there will be fewer trains than usual as only the half-hourly Victoria to Gravesend services will be running. On Sunday, the normal service of 2 trains per hour between Victoria and Dartford will run.
- Sidcup Line: A half hourly service will run from London Victoria to Gravesend via Sidcup.
- Hayes Line: A half-hourly service will run, between New Cross & Hayes.
- Grove Park Line (stopping services via Grove Park): There will be two trains per hour which will run from London Victoria instead, and are extended to run to Tunbridge Wells on Saturday, and to Tonbridge on Sunday.
- Grove Park to Bromley North Shuttle will be retimed, and run every 30 minutes (this service does not run on Sundays).
- Paddock Wood Line (London Charing Cross to Dover & Ramsgate): London Charing Cross to Ramsgate & Dover services will run from London Victoria instead, and will include a portion of the train which will be detached (/ attached for London bound services) at Tonbridge for stations to Hastings.
- Hastings Line: Passengers for stations between Tonbridge & Hastings should travel in the Hastings portion of the Dover & Ramsgate services which will run from London Victoria. On Saturday, additional stopping services to Tunbridge Wells will also run from London Victoria.
- Sole Street Line: On Saturday only, the stopping service between London Victoria and Dover via Denmark Hill will not run. The fast service from London Victoria to Dover will be retimed and stop additionally at stations between St Mary Cray and Rochester.
- An additional shuttle service will also run between Faversham and Dover Priory calling at Canterbury East only
- Bromley South Line (stopping services between London Victoria, Bromley South & Orpington): On Saturday, a half hourly stopping service will run between London Victoria and Bromley South as trains which usually start / terminate at Bromley South will not run. On Sunday, the usual half hourly service will run but these services will be retimed towards London.
- High Speed via Gravesend: Saturday only: Faversham to London St Pancras International services are retimed between Faversham and Sittingbourne towards London St Pancras International only.
- Sheerness Line: On Saturday only, the Sittingbourne to Sheerness services are retimed towards Sheerness only.
Buses replace trains between:
- New Cross to Charlton via Greenwich
Ticket Acceptance:
- London Underground between London Victoria, London Charing Cross, London Bridge, London Waterloo, London Cannon Street, & Southwark, Bank, Monument and Jubilee Line services between North Greenwich and central London.
- Docklands Light Railway between Lewisham and Greenwich.
- London Overground between New Cross and Canada Water.
Thameslink:
Thameslink services will run between Dartford and Rainham only. Valid
tickets can be used on Southeastern buses / trains between London
stations and Dartford.
