AÂ fault with the signalling system between Lancaster Oxenholme Lake District means that all lines are blocked. Trains running through Lancaster may be cancelled, severely delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

Customers may use their tickets at no additional cost onboard TransPennine Express services via any reasonable route.
Northern
Services will be affected as follows:
- Manchester Airport - Barrow in Furness services will be disrupted in both directions
- Lancaster - Barrow in Furness - Carlisle services will be disrupted in both directions
- Manchester Airport - Windermere services will be disrupted in both direction
- Train services are unable to run between Lancaster - Carnforth in both directions
- Train services are unable to run between Skipton and Lancaster in both directions
- Train services between Oxenholme - Windermere are currently unaffected by this disruption.
Customers travelling between Leeds and Lancaster please travel on Northern Blackpool / Preston to Leeds / York services.
Any ticket restrictions have been lifted during this disruption.
Road Transport has been requested to operate in the affected area. Further details will follow once confirmed.
Road replacement transport will be requested to operate between Skipton and Lancaster if disruption continues.
TransPennine Express
Services between Preston and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh will be disrupted in both directions.
Customers may use their tickets onboard the following services at no additional cost:
- Avanti West Coast between Preston and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh
- Northern services between Manchester Airport and Oxenholme Lake District at no additional cost
Rail replacement road transport has been requested to operate between Carlisle and Preston calling at intermediate stations.
