A fault with the signalling system at Meadowhall means that all lines are blocked. As a result, trains running through this station may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.

CrossCountry Customer Advice:

You can use your ticket at no extra cost, with the following operators until further notice:

  • East Midlands Railway between Derby and Sheffield
  • Sheffield Supertram - Please board the yellow route from Meadowhall to Ponds Forge and then the blue route to Sheffield station / Sheffield Hallam University

Northern Customer Advice:

Northern are attempting to source rail replacement buses but these have not been confirmed.

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on Sheffield Supertram services between Sheffield and Rotherham Central via Meadowhall.

Ticket restrictions have been lifted during this disruption.
