Following a passenger being taken ill on a train earlier today at Cheshunt, all lines have now reopened.

Impact

Train services running through this station are returning to normal but some services may still be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Disruption is expected until 21:00.

Customer Advice

A person was taken unwell on one of our trains at Cheshunt earlier and required medical assistance. The person is now in the care of the emergency services and all lines have reopened.

Trains have been delayed by up to 40 minutes. Greater Anglia and Stansted Express are now working at getting trains back to the timetable, meaning that some trains may be cancelled. Please check your journey and be prepared for a delay.

Routes affected;

• Stansted Express between London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport
• Liverpool Street to Cambridge, Cambridge North and Ely
• Liverpool Street to Hertford East
• Stratford to Meridian Water and Bishops Stortford

Greater Anglia have arranged for you to be able to use your ticket on the following alternatives:

• Use the Circle, Hammersmith & City or Metropolitan lines to travel between Liverpool Street and London Kings Cross / London St Pancras International. Travel on;
  • Great Northern services between London Kings Cross and Cambridge North
  • Thameslink between London St Pancras Intl and Cambridge
  • Journey Time: Approx 1hr 15m
• Walk to Moorgate via the Elizabeth Line platforms and travel on Great Northern services between Moorgate and Hertford North. Journey Time: Approx 1hr
• CrossCountry services between Stansted Airport and Cambridge
• London Overground services between Liverpool Street and Cheshunt / Enfield Town via Seven Sisters. Stations on the Seven Sisters route are only a short distance from those on the Tottenham Hale route.
