Lines have now reopened following a fault with the barriers at a level crossing between Spalding and Peterborough. However, whilst service recovers, trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or cancelled.
Disruption is expected until 18:30.
How does this affect my train?
Trains running through the area in both directions can now run between Peterborough and Spalding. However some trains maybe subject to late notice alterations or cancellations, please check your journey at nationalrail.co.uk Now the line has reopened our priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. We expect our advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 18:30.

Travelling between Peterborough and Lincoln
If you are travelling between Peterborough and Lincoln you should travel via Newark Northgate for connecting services this may extend your journey times by approximately 30 minutes.
Travelling between Peterborough, Sleaford, Riskington and Metheringham
If you are travelling between Peterborough, Sleaford, Ruskington and Metheringham you should travel to Grantham for connecting services to/from Sleaford, this may extend your journey times by approximately 30 minutes.
Travelling between Peterborough and Spalding Teams are looking to resource replacement buses, however this can take some time to arrange.
