All lines have reopened between Coulsdon South and Purley following a road vehicle colliding with a bridge between these stations. As the service recovers trains running between these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 10 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 19:30.

Southern and Thameslink are working to recover the service timetable, however some trains in the Purley area may still be delayed by up to 10 minutes.

For most journeys you can continue to use use your normal route, however you should allow extra time for your journey.

Some Gatwick Express services may start / terminate at different stations than usual, meaning you may need to change trains enroute to your destination.

Please make sure to check your train if you are making a journey this evening.

Network Rail engineers have inspected the bridge for any damage and determined services can now resume their normal speed between Coulsdon South and Purley.
