Lines have reopened following a passenger being taken ill on a train at Clapham Junction. Trains running towards London Victoria / Watford Junction are returning to normal but may still be delayed by up to 15 minutes or revised whilst service recovers.

Disruption is expected until 10:30.

Earlier, a passenger was taken ill on a train at Clapham Junction. All lines are now open, but this has delayed some Southern "Metro" stopping services towards London Victoria or Watford Junction.

Your train may have a delay of around 10-15 minutes in this area.

In reaction, some trains departing London Victoria may also have minor delays, and a few trains may be revised to call at different stations en-route.

You can still use your normal route for your journey, but please check station screens and listen to announcements for advice about your train.

A passenger was taken ill on a train in the area. Southern and Gatwick Express have been working with staff and the emergency services to make sure the person has been provided with medical attention as quickly as possible. Paramedics have now attended and the affected train has been able to proceed.

When a passenger illness is first reported, staff will assess the situation. Often, the emergency services will advise staff to leave the passenger on the train until they can attend. This means a queue of trains can build up, which may include your service. Once it is safe to do so, the ill passenger will be assisted from the train.

When you're travelling, please don't board a train if you feel unwell. It's much easier to get help to you at a station, as these locations can be accessed more easily by our staff and the emergency services. Please use the green emergency button on the station help point, and help from will be arranged allowing responders to attend.
