The RMT Union have announced plans for industrial action to affect services on the following dates:

• Saturday 26 August
• Saturday 2 September

Saturday 26 August:

During the industrial action on Saturday 26 August, Avanti West Coast plan to run four trains per hour to and from London Euston: one to each of Manchester (via Crewe and Stockport), Liverpool, Birmingham and Preston (with a limited service extending to Carlisle).

These trains will operate during limited hours, with the first train of the day departing London Euston around 08:00 and the last train of the day from London Euston departing shortly after 17:00.

There will be no Avanti West Coast service to / from North Wales, Shrewsbury, Blackpool North, Stoke-on-Trent and Edinburgh.

The day after industrial action may also be affected due to engineering work, but some other operators’ trains may also start later in the morning than usual following the strike.

Saturday 2 September:

Information about the planned service for 2 September will be provided as soon as possible.
