Following a passenger being taken ill on a train at Potters Bar, all lines have now reopened through this station.
As service recovers, Great Northern and Thameslink services at this station may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
This is expected until 19:15.
Customer advice:
Delays are possible in the Potters Bar area, affecting southbound trains towards Finsbury Park and London, as well as northbound trains towards Welwyn Garden City and Cambridge.
Short notice alterations and cancellations are possible, meaning some services may have cancelled stops or will terminate and restart at a different station to normal.
For most journeys, you can travel using your normal route this evening but it is advised that you allow extra time for your journey - at least an extra 20 minutes.
If you are on a train that isn't moving, please remain on the train and listen to on board announcements for further updates. All services are expected to be on the move again shortly.

Can you tell me more about the incident?
Earlier this evening, a passenger was taken ill on a train in the Potters Bar area. Staff and the emergency services have attended, and the passenger is now off the train and in the care of the ambulance team.
When a passenger illness is first reported, staff will assess the situation. Often, the emergency services will advise staff to leave the passenger on the train until they can attend. This means a queue of trains can build up, which may include your service. Once it is safe to do so, the ill passenger will be assisted from the train.
When you're travelling, please don't board a train if you feel unwell. It's much easier to get help to you at a station, as these locations can be accessed more easily by staff and the emergency services. Please use the green Emergency button on the station help point, and it will be arranged for responders to attend.
