The met office have issued an amber weather warning for rain in some parts of Yorkshire. Heavy rain has flooded the railway in some areas, the following routes are currently being affected:
Worksop - All lines are close through the Worksop area.
Rotherham Central - Train services running through this station will be delayed or running non stop between Meadowhall and Swinton S.Yorks. Rotherham Central will not be served.Replacement road transport has been requested to run between Barnsley and Huddersfield - more information will be provided when known.
Shipley - Leeds -Â A tree is on the line near Guiseley blocking the direct route to Leeds and also affecting the overhead wires between Shipley and Ilkley (via Baildon).
Direct services between Leeds and Ilkley and between Bradford Forster Sq and Ilkey are suspended.
Service between Ilkley and Bradford Forster Square will be reinstated in a limited capacity from 13:51. The first service to depart will be the 13:51 Ilkley to Bradford Forster Square.
Replacement transport has been requested to operate between Shipley and Ilkley. This will be operated by Four Ways, Blue Sky and Phantom Travel.
