A fault with the signalling system between West Hampstead Thameslink and London Blackfriars is causing disruption to journeys between these stations. As a result, trains may be cancelled or delayed by up to 20 minutes.

This is expected until the end of the day.

Journeys in both directions that run through this area are subject to further delays of up to 20 minutes and some services, have been removed to keep running trains, on time.

Your journey time may be extended by up to 20 minutes and you may need to use an alternative route to travel.

There will be a reduced service between Bedford and Gatwick and there will be no service between Blackfriars and Sutton/Wimbledon.

How are services being affected?

  • Peak time trains that usually run between Bedford and East Grinstead are suspended, and will not run
  • Peak time trains that run between Luton and Orpington are suspended , and will not run
  • Trains that run between Bedford and East Grinstead are suspended, and will not run
  • Trains that usually run between St Albans and Sutton/Wimbledon are suspended and will not run
  • Trains that usually run between Cambridge - Brighton will run as booked
  • Trains that run between Luton and Rainham (Kent) will call additionaly at all stops between St Pancras International and St Albans City
  • Trains that usually run between Peterborough and Horsham, will call additionally at Salfords and Earlswood
  • Trains that usually run between Welwyn Garden City to Sevenoaks will run between Blackfriars and Sevenoaks only

Ticket Acceptance:

To help you complete your journey, your ticket will be accepted on the below services at no additional cost:

  • London Underground on any reasonable route including between London Terminals
  • London Buses on any reasonable route between West Hampstead Thameslink and Central London, and between Central London and Sutton/Wimbledon
  • Southern services on any reasonable route including between London Victoria and Sutton and to/from East Croydon and Gatwick Airport
  • Gatwick Express between London Victoria, Gatwick Airport and Brighton.
  • Southeastern on any reasonable route (excluding high-speed services)
  • South Western between London Waterloo, Clapham Junction and Wimbledon
  • Tramlink services between Wimbledon and East Croydon
