A problem with the overhead electric wires at Stansted Airport is causing disruption to journeys to and from this station. As a result, trains may be cancelled or delayed.
This is expected until 22:30.
Customer advice:
Greater Anglia / Stansted Express
Due to problems with the overhead electrical wires, trains are currently unable to access, or depart from Stansted Airport. Services between London Liverpool Street and Cambridge may also be delayed, due to the congestion on the line that the issue is causing.
A rail replacement bus service will be in place between Bishops Stortford and Stansted Airport.
Network Rail Engineers are en route to Stansted Airport, in order to investigate the issue.
Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled.
