Some services may be diverted and as a result will not call at Southampton Central.
South Western Railway
An operational incident occurred earlier this morning during engineering works between Southampton Central and Winchester. This means that all lines between these stations will reopen later than expected.

Southern
Southern are unable to run any services in or out of Southampton until further notice. You will have to change trains more than normal and your journey is likely to be extended by up to 30 minutes. Please check journey planners for the latest information regarding your train.
Southern will be working to the following service alterations:
- trains that would normally run between Brighton and Southampton will terminate at Fareham or Eastleigh and restart back to Brighton from there
- the train that was due to run from Three Bridges to Southampton at 05:58 will terminate and restart back at Bognor Regis
- trains that should have run from Southampton Central to London Victoria will start at Portsmouth Harbour instead

Can you tell me more about the incident?
During overnight engineering works in the Southampton area a fault to a set of points has been reported. Because of this, the number of trains in and out of Southampton has to be reduced and services will only run as far as Fareham. Network Rail are continuing to work to repair these points with the view to returning to a full service.
