What do I need to do?
If you are travelling to or from Battersea Park or Wandsworth Common and you are affected by these changes, and you cannot travel on another train, please use local TfL Buses to complete your journey.
You can plan a local bus journey on the TfL website.
We will be arranging for rail tickets and passes to be accepted on these buses each night. This means that you will not be charged more than usual. However, your journey is likely to take up to 30 minutes longer if you need to use a bus, so please leave some extra time.
Can you tell me more about the incident?
Network Rail are undertaking additional works on one of the two pairs of lines used by trains in this area. In this case, stopping services are using the pair of lines usually used by express trains.
Some of these stopping services are formed of older types of trains which need platform-mounted equipment to enable them to call at stations. Unfortunately, the platforms on these lines do not have the safety equipment which is needed for this to happen.
Some stopping services are formed of newer trains which are not affected, which is why some can still call.
Because of the relatively short notice given about these works, we may not be able to reliably provide replacement buses, and existing local bus options are better placed to assist you, so we will be asking them to allow you to travel.
