The police are dealing with an incident near the railway between Woking and Surbiton. Whilst they complete their work, the lines from Woking towards London Waterloo are closed. As a result, trains between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 15 minutes or run non-stop between Weybridge and Surbiton.

Disruption is expected until 16:00.

What we're doing about it

We have been informed of the police dealing with an incident near the railway between Woking and Surbiton. This means that some lines towards London Waterloo are blocked.

Until further notice, the following service alterations will be necessary:

  • London bound services will not call at Walton-on-Thames, Hersham or Esher

If you are travelling from Woking to Walton-on-Thames, Hersham or Esher, please continue your journey to Surbiton for a return service, as trains running towards Woking are unaffected.

To assist you with your journey, your ticket will be accepted at no extra cost to yourself, on the following services:

  • Falcon Buses routes:
    • 461 between Weybridge - Walton-on-Thames
    • 514 and 515 between Surbiton - Esher - Hersham - Walton-on-Thames - Weybridge
    • 564 between Hersham and Walton-on-Thames
    • 715 between Guildford - Esher - Surbiton
  • White Bus routes:
    • 458 between Walton-on-Thames - Hersham - Esher - Surbiton
    • 555 between Walton-on-Thames - Hersham
