Congestion between Westbury and Swindon via Melksham is causing disruption to journeys between these stations.

A road vehicle has collided with the barriers of a level crossing between Reading and Newbury and the line is currently blocked. More information on this disruption can be found here

As a consequence, long distance services to and from the West Country are being diverted through Swindon and Westbury and to ensure that they are provided with a route through Melksham, local services are regrettably having to be cancelled.

We anticipate disruption will continue until 21:00.
