A broken down train at Longton means lines are blocked. As a result, trains between Stoke-on-Trent and Derby may be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.
This is expected until 12:00.
What has happened?
The operator of the freight train are arranging a locomotive to go and recover a broken down train, we are awaiting an estimate of when this will be available.
How does this affect my train?

Trains between Derby and Newark Castle will still be able to run. However some may still incur late notice delays or cancellations.
