Shortage of train crew between Southampton Central and Brighton means fewer trains are able to run between these stations. As a result, trains may be cancelled, reduced or terminated at Bognor Regis.

Disruption is expected until 17:00.

Customer Advice:

Fewer trains are able to run between Brighton and Southampton today. Please allow extra time for your journey as you may have to wait for a later train, or use an alternative route/supplier.

Along with some cancellations, some services from Brighton will terminate at Bognor Regis, starting their return journey back from there later in the day.

Southern have agreed ticket acceptance via Clapham Junction, should you find it more convenient to travel on this route.

Your ticket will be accepted on the following, at no extra cost:

  • Thameslink services between Brighton and East Croydon
  • Southern trains between Haywards Heath, East Croydon and Clapham Junction
  • Southwestern trains between Clapham Junction and Southampton, and between Portsmouth and Southsea and Southampton
