A fault with the signalling system at Dore is causing disruption to journeys running between Sheffield and Stockport.
As all lines are currently blocked, trains between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes, revised or diverted.
Disruption is expected until 13:00.
How does this affect my train?
London / Sheffield (Intercity) Services
Trains running between Sheffield and Chesterfield in both directions are running with delays of up to 15 minutes.
Liverpool / Nottingham Norwich Services
Trains running between Sheffield and Stockport in both directions cannot run.
Some trains will be able to take a diversionary route, not calling at Sheffield.
At present, we are expecting the problem to be fixed in the next 2 hours. As soon as the problem is fixed, the priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. We expect an advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 13:00.
How do I get where I need to be?
You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by 30 minutes.

Road transport has been requested to run between Sheffield and Chinley / Manchester Piccadilly. You will be updated once this has been confirmed.
Journey times will be extended by up to 120 minutes whilst travelling by this service.
Some TransPennine Express services may be diverted and will not call at Stockport.
Customers requiring Stockport are advised to speak with station staff for onward road transport.
