Thameslink and Great Northern services between Royston and Cambridge are being disrupted by a points failure in the Shepreth area.Â
We don't have an exact estimate for the delay at the moment, but please expect your journey to take at least 30-45 minutes longer.
Some trains are being held at stations, waiting for the problem to be resolved. Some trains may be altered or cancelled at short notice.Â
If you need to use another route, we will advise shortly. At present, this issue is mainly affecting northbound trains, from London towards Cambridge, Ely and Kings Lynn.Â

- Greater Anglia services between Cambridge and London Liverpool Street, as well as services between Cambridge and Ely, and between Ely and Peterborough
- CrossCountry services between Cambridge, Ely and Peterborough
- East Midlands Railway services between Ely and Peterborough
- Alternative Thameslink and Great Northern trains between Peterborough and London

This means you can travel between Cambridge or Ely and London by changing trains at Peterborough, but this is likely to also cause a significantly extended journey time.
