The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Nottingham and Derby / Loughborough. To allow them to safely access the railway and carry out their work, all lines running between these stations are currently closed.

Trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

This is expected until 12:00.

Buses have been requested to run between Nottingham and Derby. You will be updated here once this is confirmed.

You may use your ticket on the following services at no extra cost:

  • East Midlands Railway between Nottingham / Derby and Chesterfield
  • Northern between Nottingham and Chesterfield

Alternative arrangements are being explored to keep you on the move. Please remember that this can take time and be assured that the East Midlands Railway team are working tirelessly to arrange this as quickly as possible for you.

A half hourly bus shuttle service has been arranged to run between Derby and Nottingham as follows:

  • XX:00 between Derby and Nottingham, calling at all stations
  • XX:30 between Derby and Nottingham, running direct

A hourly bus shuttle service will run between Leicester and Loughborough as follows:

  • XX:00 between Leicester and Loughborough, calling at all stations
  • XX:00 between Loughborough and Leicester, calling at all stations

You may use your ticket with LNER at no extra cost between Grantham and London Kings Cross.
