London Overground are also affected in the Norwood Junction area.

Some trains will be amended as below. You may need to change trains or use another route to get to your destination.

Changes to services:

A few Thameslink services may be diverted between London Blackfriars and East Croydon, not calling at London Bridge. The diversion will add around 20 minutes to journeys.

A small number of Southern services may divert to run to or from London Victoria instead of London Bridge.

Some other Southern and Thameslink trains may be terminated before they get to the area or cancelled.

Ticket acceptance on alternative routes:

Your ticket will be accepted mutually between Southern and Thameslink on any reasonable route.

You may also use your ticket at no extra cost on:

• London Buses on any reasonable route serving stations between Redhill, Purley, the Croydon area, Central London and West Hampstead, Elstree or Finsbury Park
• London Underground services to transfer across London on any reasonable route
• London Overground services between Clapham Junction and Canada Water, for Tube connections

Initially, power to the track was switched off as a precaution, which meant that trains couldn't run as normal. Power has now been recharged, but the delays and congestion in the area could still affect your journey, and some trains have already been amended.
