A points failure between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport / Stockport means some lines are blocked. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

Customer Advice for Northern:

All ticket restrictions have been lifted during this disruption and customers can travel via any reasonable route with Northern to reach their destination.

You can use Transport for Wales services via any reasonable route.

Rail replacement transport will run as follows:

  • 1 x S-Line bus will depart Manchester Piccadilly at 1945, all stops to Manchester Airport
  • 1 x S-Line bus will depart Manchester Airport at 1945, all stops to Manchester Piccadilly

Customer Advice for TransPennine Express:

No trains can run between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport.

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on Manchester Metrolink between Manchester City Zone and Manchester Airpor
