A fault with the signalling system between St Albans and Luton means that all lines are closed. Trains running between London St Pancras International and Luton may be cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until 05:30.

We have just been advised of a possible loss of signalling in the area between St Albans and Luton.

Network Rail are working to understand the situation, but at this time, trains will not travel in the area.

This will impact journeys beyond this immediate area, from Bedford, through Luton and London Blackfriars.

If the situation is prolonged, this will also impact the following:

  • Services between Gillingham and to / from Luton
  • Services between Sutton and St Albans

At this time, we have no alternatives to offer, so please speak to station teams for onward travel assistance.
