What has happened?
A person has been hit by a train. This has occurred between Luton Airport Parkwayâ London St Pancras International and is disrupting trains on the Connect route and London/Derby/Nottingham/Sheffield.
Emergency services are en-route to manage the incident.
How does this affect my train?
Trains running through the area in both directions cannot run. Teams are currently waiting for more information from the emergency services and Network Rail once they arrive at the incident.
How do I get where I need to be?
You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by 60 minutes.
You can use your ticket at no extra cost with LNER between London Kings Cross and Doncaster, Avanti West Coast between London Euston and Birmingham/Nuneaton. And also with CrossCountry via any reasonable route and TransPennine Express & Northern between Sheffield and Doncaster.
Thameslink Customer Advice
Trains which run between London and St Albans, Luton, and Bedford will be disrupted.
Your journey will take at least 60 minutes longer than usual, and you may need to use an alternative route or change to a different train to reach your destination.
Trains which usually run between Brighton and Bedford will instead run between Brighton and West Hampstead Thameslink; Trains between Rainham and Luton will instead run between Rainham and Dartford; and trains between Orpington and Luton will run between Orpington and West Hampstead.
If you are travelling between West Hampstead Thameslink and Luton or Bedford, you will need to use an alternative route which we will advise you on shortly.
