A broken down between Liverpool South Parkway and Hunts Cross is causing disruption to journeys between these stations.
Services may be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised.
We anticipate disruption will continue until 13:30.
East Midlands Railway Customer Advice
Trains running through the area in both directions cannot run between Widnes and Liverpool South Parkway. At the moment services will not be able to call at Liverpool South Parkway, Widnes and Warrington Central. At present we are expecting the problem to be fixed in the next 2 hours. As soon as the problem is fixed our priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again.
East Midlands Railway have arranged for you to travel on the following services:
- TransPeninne Express services between Manchester (all stations) and Liverpool (via Victoria)
- Northern services between Manchester (all stations) and Liverpool
Merseyrail Customer Advice
Trains may be amended to start / terminate at Liverpool Central.
Replacement road transport is operating between Moorfields and Hunts Cross.
Northern Customer Advice
Customers travelling between Manchester Oxford Road - Liverpool Lime Street may board alternative Northern services via Newton-le-Willows.
Ticket restrictions have been lifted to all Northern ticket holders to travel on any alternative Northern services during this disruption.
