A person has been hit by a train between Lincoln and Nottingham. As all lines are currently closed, trains may be cancelled or delayed by up to 90 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 10:00.

How does this affect my train?

Trains running through the area in both direction cannot run between Lincoln and Newark Castle.

How do I get where I need to be?

Tickets will be accepted on the following routes:

  • Northern between Lincoln and Sheffield. You can change at Sheffield or Worksop to make connections to and from Nottingham.
  • East Midlands Railway between Lincoln and Sleaford, and change at Sleaford to make connections to and from Nottingham.
  • LNER between Doncaster and Grantham
  • TransPennine Express between Cleethorpes and Sheffield

Rail replacement bus have been arranged from Nottingham to Lincoln calling Newark, Collingham, Swinderby and Hykeham. The bus will depart Nottingham at 07:40.

You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by 60 minutes.
