A road vehicle colliding with a level crossing between Horsham and Barnham means trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 10 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 15:00.
Customer Advice
Delays of about 20-30 minutes are possible in the Billingshurst area, due to a lorry colliding with a set of level crossing barriers. This is affecting services running in both directions.
As a result of this, services that usually run between London Victoria and Portsmouth/Southampton will instead run between London Victoria and Bognor Regis only. These services will no longer divide and attach at Horsham.
For journeys to/from stations between Horsham, Barnham and Bognor Regis, you can travel using your normal route but we'd advise allow an extra 20-30 minutes to complete your journey. For journeys to/from stations between Barnham and Portsmouth/Southampton, you'll likely need to change trains en route at Barnham, and you may wish to travel instead using an alternative route, for example via Hove.
Tickets will be accepted for no extra cost on:
- South Western Railway services between Havant and Portsmouth, between Portsmouth and Southampton, and between Southampton/Portsmouth and Clapham Junction/London Waterloo.
- Southern and Thameslink services between London and Brighton, as well as along the coast between Southampton/Portsmouth and Brighton via Worthing and Hove.
