The southbound line between Berwick-upon-Tweed and Newcastle has reopened following a fault on a train earlier today. Additionally, a speed restriction has been imposed between Dunbar and Newcastle due to high winds and severe weather.
Services may be subject to cancellations, alterations or delays of up to 45 minutes until the end of the day.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

A train came to a stand south of Berwick-upon-Tweed due to a fault earlier today. This blocked the southbound line and required the train to be evacuated. This has now been completed and the line has reopened.
