Earlier today the third rail was damaged between East Croydon and Purley. Trains running between East Croydon and Redhill may be delayed or revised.
South Croydon and Purley Oaks will not be served.
Disruption is expected until 22:30.

Between 21:00 and 22:30, Network Rail will be carrying out emergency repairs to the electric third rail.
This will affect the route between East Croydon and Purley. Some lines will be closed.
No trains will be able to stop at South Croydon or Purley Oaks during this time, and there may be minor delays to other Southern & Thameslink services via East Croydon due to congestion.
Alternative routes for South Croydon and Purley Oaks:
Whilst trains are not stopping, please use TfL Buses to travel to & from these stations.
We will make sure rail tickets will be accepted on these buses. This will include the different routes between East Croydon and Purley, as well as services as far as Caterham.
You can also use train services from Sanderstead station (which is near Purley Oaks), but a reduced service is operating due to the revised timetable and an earlier train fault.

Following damage earlier today, Network Rail need to carry out urgent repairs to a cable which supplies electricity to the third rails. These are vital to powering Southern & Thameslink trains on this part of the network.
