A points failure near Derby means some lines are disrupted.

As a result, trains running between Derby and Stoke-on-Trent / Tamworth may be delayed by up to 45 minutes or cancelled.

Disruption is expected to continue until 16:00.

Advice for CrossCountry customers:

You may use your ticket at no extra cost on the following:

  • East Midlands Railway between Derby and Leicester / Nottingham
  • London Northwestern Railway between Lichfield Trent Valley and Nuneaton (via Tamworth)
  • Northern via any reasonable route
  • West Midlands Railway between Lichfield Trent Valley and Birmingham New Street
  • TransPennine Express between Leeds and Newcastle

You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by 45 minutes.
