The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Lenzie and Bishopbriggs. So they can safely do their work, all lines are currently closed. As a result, the following changes will apply:

  • Train services between Alloa and Glasgow Queen Steet are currently suspended
  • Trains services between Edinburgh / Aberdeen / Inverness and Glasgow Queen Street via Falkirk High are being diverted via Cumbernauld. Trains will not be calling Bishopbriggs, Lenzie, Croy and Falkirk High. Journey times may be extended by up to 30 minutes.

 

This is expected until 12:00.

Customer Advice

You can use the following alternative routes:

  • Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh via Cumbernauld for Croy and stations from Falkirk to Edinburgh
  • Glasgow Queen Street Low Level to Edinburgh for Haymarket and Edinburgh
  • Glasgow Central to Edinburgh for Haymarket and Edinburgh

 

Rail replacement buses have also been requested to operate on the following routes. These buses are expected to begin operating at 10:00:

  • between Glasgow Queen street and Bishopbriggs / Lenzie / Croy
  • between Stirling and Alloa
  • between Falkirk High and Falkirk Grahamston
