Heavy rain flooding the railway between Crowborough and Uckfield means that all lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between these stations will be cancelled with services terminating / starting back at Crowborough.

To help you complete your journey, ticket acceptance has been arranged on the following alternatives
- Brighton and Hove Buses routes 28 and 29 between Lewes, Uckfield, Crowbrough and Tunbridge Wells
- Southeastern services between Tunbridge Wells and London
Southern have also arranged for replacement buses to run between Crowborough and Uckfield, however these are not in operation as yet.
Can you tell me more about the incident?
Shortly after 10:30, Southern received reports that a railway tunnel near Crowborough had a buildup of pooling water by the driver of an Uckfield bound service. A further report has been received of water flooding the railway, and the line between Crowborough and Uckfield has been closed as a result.
Response staff from Network Rail have been alerted, and until the water has receded trains will not be able to run through the affected section.
