Due to emergency engineering works between Colchester and Ipswich, some lines are blocked.

Impact

Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer Advice

Owing to a defective rail requiring urgent repairs, we are unable to operate our main line services between Colchester and Ipswich from 22:00 hours tonight. To allow Network Rail engineers carry out necessary repairs to the tracks, a rail replacement bus service will be in operation between Colchester and Ipswich. A train service will operate between Ipswich and Norwich. 

The following services are affected: 

  • 19:00 Norwich to Liverpool Street- Terminates at Colchester
  • 19:32 Norwich to Liverpool Street- Cancelled
  • 20:00 Norwich to Liverpool Street- Terminates at Colchester
  • 20:02 Liverpool Street to Ipswich- Terminates at Colchester
  • 21:30 Liverpool Street to Norwich- Starts at Ipswich (22:43)
  • 21:46 Peterborough to Colchester- Terminates at Ipswich
  • 21:47 Harwich International to Lowestoft- Terminates at Ipswich (Customers are advised to change at Manningtree for Harwich)
  • 22:00 Liverpool Street to Ipswich- Cancelled
  • 22:02 Norwich to Liverpool Street- Terminates at Ipswich
  • 22:30 Liverpool Street to Norwich- Starts at Ipswich (23:32)
  • 23:30 Liverpool Street to Norwich- Starts at Ipswich (00:45)
  • 23:02 Liverpool Street to Ipswich- Terminates at Colchester
