A person has been hit by a train between Cheshunt and Tottenham Hale. Whilst the emergency services carry out their work, all lines between these stations are closed. Trains running between Cheshunt and Stratford / London Liverpool Street may be cancelled, delayed by up to 50 minutes or diverted via Seven Sisters.

Disruption is expected until 10:00.

Routes affected;

  • Stansted Express between Stansted Airport and London Liverpool Street
  • Cambridge North - London Liverpool Street
  • Hertford East - London Liverpool Street
  • Bishops Stortford - Stratford
  • Meridian Water - Stratford

Service Impact

Trains will not be able to run between Cheshunt and Tottenham Hale in both directions. Trains will be diverted via Seven Sisters and will be delayed on this route. Some trains may be cancelled.

Alternative Travel Options

Arrangements for you to be able to use your Greater Anglia and Stansted Express tickets have been made on the following alternatives:

  • London Underground on: Victoria Line between Tottenham Hale, Seven Sisters, Finsbury Park and Central London Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City between Kings Cross St Pancras and London Liverpool Street any other reasonable route to help you complete your journey
  • London Overground between Cheshunt and London Liverpool Streetvia Seven Sisters. Stations on this route are a short distance from the Tottenham Hale route
  • Great Northern between Hertford North and Moorgate. Moorgate is a short distance from London Liverpool Street via the Elizabeth Line platforms
  • Great Northern between Cambridge and London Kings Cross / London St Pancras International
  • London Buses between Cheshunt and Stratford

Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled.
