AÂ fault with the signalling system at Carlisle means some lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between Carlisle and Garsdale / Haltwhistle may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected to continue until 13:00.

Customers travelling between Skipton and Carlisle are advised to travel to Leeds, and get on an alternative Northern service via Preston to Carlisle.
You can use your ticket on Avanti West Coast services between Carlisle and Preston / Lancaster, at no extra cost.
You can also use alternative Northern services between Preston / Lancaster and Leeds, at no extra cost.
The following routes are affected:
- Services between Carlisle and Leeds are currently unable to run between Carlisle and Skipton, in both directions.
- Services between Carlisle and Newcastle are currently unable to run between Carlisle and Newcastle, in both directions.
Services between Carlisle and Barrow-in-Furness are unaffected by this issue.
Rail replacement transport has been requested to run between Carlisle and Skipton / Newcastle, but not yet confirmed. Further information will follow once available.
Journey times will be extended by up to 120 minutes whilst travelling by rail replacement transport.
