A broken rail between Cambridge and Royston is causing disruption to journeys running through these stations.
As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Thameslink and Great Northern services are likely to be disrupted between Cambridge and Royston this morning due to a broken rail being identified in the Foxton area.
This will mainly affect Southbound services from Cambridge towards London.
Service alterations:
- Great Northern services which usually run from London Kings Cross to Kings Lynn will now terminate / start at Cambridge.
- Great Northern services which usually run from London Kings Cross to Cambridge will now terminate / start at Royston.
- Thameslink services which usually run from Brighton to Cambridge will run one train per hour between Brighton and London Bridge only.
Alternative journey options:
You may wish to consider another option for your journey, if one is available in your area, and there's a long delay until the next train.
Your ticket will be valid at no extra cost on:
- Greater Anglia services between Cambridge and London Liverpool Street, as well as services between Cambridge and Ely, and between Ely and Peterborough
- CrossCountry services between Cambridge, Ely and Peterborough
- East Midlands Railway services between Ely and Peterborough
- Alternative Thameslink and Great Northern trains between Peterborough, Hitchin, Stevenage and London

This means you can travel between Cambridge or Ely and London by changing trains at Peterborough, but this is likely to also cause a significantly extended journey time.
